Evolution of the Arrow
Archery arrows have been made and used by hunters for centuries. Arrows have been used to serve many purposes throughout the centuries, but now it is mostly used for hunting and archery. Wood arrows were made by early people across the globe; however, when the wood warps the arrow becomes useless and a new arrow must be made. Fiberglass arrows are more consistent, but are also very brittle and break easily. Aluminum arrows are lightweight and long-lasting, but very costly to make. Carbon arrows have an aluminum core and an outer carbon coating, which makes them faster and lighter.
