Sporting arm used was a Horton Legend 175 with a 4X32 Scope and Hunter FX (fixed blade). John captured the Zebra on the fifth day of the hunt out of a ground blind. The Zebra was a mature male, which weighed 700 lbs.

O’Hara’s Background
John O’Hara has been bow hunting since age sixteen. He has also been involved as a PGC “Hunter” Educational Instructor for eleven (11) years and eight (8) years as a PGC “Bowhunter” Educational Instructor. He received the PGC Outstanding Instructor Award in 2004. Plus, John is a certified NFAA Instructor.

He has been a Horton ProStaff Member representing crossbows for three (3) years now. John also does store events, which includes Crossbow 101 Seminars. In addition, he testifies and represents Horton at PGC yearly hearings to promote crossbow usage in the state of PA. John also uses and promotes the Summit Treestands.

John has also been a ProStaffer for Mathews Bows for three (3) years and is involved with instore promotions for local vendors.

He is currently in charge of a team of nine (9) staffers. John sets up, coordinates and works for many shows. During the shows he does product training, Treestand Safety Seminars for various vendors and groups, for example, NWTFWOO, PGC youth field days.
