String & Cable Selection Information

READ CAREFULLY THE FOLLOWING

In order to make string and cable replacement selection easier and safer, Horton Mfg. is in the process of changing over to a color coded system for replacement stings and cables.  Some products now in stock at your local dealers may NOT have color coded packaging.  The correct selection of a replacement string or cable can be made by using the old item number and / or  by matching the new color coded system. Carefully read the below information to assist you in your product selection.

REPLACEMENT STRINGS:  New model bows will have either an item number (example ST090) or a color code box directly under where the word "String" is printed on the limb.  Older model bows must be matched to correct string by using the model and poundage column on the left of the selection chart.  Newer model color coded bows will also have colored matching serving on the end of the string.  After determining the correct string be sure you match the item number and or match the color coded dot that will be found on the packaging when buying the new string.

REPLACEMENT CABLES:  New model bows will have either an item number (example ST009) or color coded box directly under where the word "Cable" is printed on the limb.  Older model bows must be matched to the correct cable by using the model and poundage column on the left of the selection chart. Newer model bows will have a matching colored dot on the metal end of the cable near where the axle goes through the cable end. After determining the correct cable be sure to match the item number and or the color coded dot on the packaging when the new replacement cable.
